A customer named Dory recently wrote this email to Seagate concerning her granddaughter’s ongoing year with a yeast infection–
Comments: My granddaughter is 3 months pregnant. She has been suffering with a yeast infection for over a year. The doctors prescribe her medication, but it consistently comes back. I wanted to know if the olive leaf capsules and the vaginal spray were safe to use in her pregnancy. Help!
Yeast and fungal problems are very common in the U.S. due to diet. Below is Seagate’s response to Dory’s question-
Hello Dory,
Sorry to hear about that problem.
Those would be the correct products – Olive Leaf Extract and Olive Vaginal Spray – that I would use if I had this problem. However, we do not do any testing on pregnant women nor are we allowed to prescribe to people because we are not doctors. I can tell you that in all of the years producing these products that we have never had anyone (pregnant or otherwise) report any adverse reaction to these products. If in doubt, we always recommend that you first consult with her medical professionals (which apparently in this case has not helped her at all — but we still have to state this anyway).
We at Seagate also try and look for the reasons that might be causing a problem and try to prevent it, and not just look at the treatment after the problem has developed. Usually, though not always, this sort of major yeast infection is the result of a diet that is high in any or all of these — sugars, carbs, alcohol and processed foods etc. — the stuff everyone knows is bad for them but they eat it anyway. A very good resource for her to begin is to purchase Doug Kaufmann’s book The Fungal Link which contains his Phase I Diet and has become “the Bible” on how to fight yeast and fungus through diet.
Good luck to you and your granddaughter.
Richard

Coral Garden in Bonaire at 50 ft.
Bonaire is a Dutch island 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela. It also happens to be right in the middle of sea lanes used by drug smugglers from South America going into the Carribean, on their way to the USA. As a result, there are many interesting ship wrecks of vessels that attempted the run without lights and proper navigation. Bonaire has many beautiful dive sites and healthy reefs. The photo above is of a reef garden that seems a bit mystical. The water in this area is already so warm being near the Equator that the reefs still appear unaffected by global-warming.
