A customer named Karen M. wrote the following question to us last month:
“I have a young friend who is getting migraines and has to take shots when she notices one coming on. She is now seeing a neurologist. She has to keep track of everything she eats and does and for how long. Is there something natural that she can take or do for this? My friend is in her mid 20’s. She just got married earlier this year. Please get back to me as soon as possible. Thanks you so much for your help.”
We receive these sorts of questions daily, where a person is seeing their doctor for a serious painful problem … or rather what they see as the problem — the pain — which just does not seem to go away. However, our approach to dealing with this is a little bit different from their doctor.
Seagate responded to Karen’s email with the following:
It depends upon what is causing the migraines. Doctors and their pharmaceutical medicines seem to just treat the migraine pain as if that were the issue. We prefer to look at what is actually causing the problem and in this case — try to find what is causing the migraine.
For example, if the migraines are caused by a sinus blockage or infection, then we would suggest the Olive Leaf Nasal Spray to try and unblock the sinus and eliminate the germs. However, migraines can be caused by any one of a hundred completely different issues, from incorrect eyeglass prescriptions, or stress, allergies, mold in the home, something in the air, or even (I had a friend who had migraines from this–>) a brain tumor. So unless your friend is able to figure out what is the cause, all she will be treating is the secondary symptom of pain which is going to keep repeating itself.
