Give someone the gift of joint health this holiday season!
Seagate is a fishing company. We have been processing shark cartilage continuously since 1993. However, Seagate discontinued shark fishing in 1999. The shark cartilage we process is a byproduct of local seafood processors who produce a very low volume of shark meat for local Ensenada grocery stores. There are no endangered nor threatened shark species along the west coast of Baja California where this fishery is located.
Purity: Real shark cartilage product contains 50% protein. Seagate shark cartilage is not cut with fillers. The product is so pure that we do not even use excipients in our capsules. Seagate is not sterilized, chemically treated or exposed to high temperatures during processing. This product is freeze-dried and does not contain any heavy metals. While sharks do experience heavy metal contamination being at the top of their food chain, it occurs in their meat and fatty tissues.
Use: Since shark cartilage is a health food supplement, we cannot make any medical claims. However, we can state that most customers use this product for their joints.
Controversy: While shark cartilage is a wonderful and very effective product, not all shark cartilage products are alike. In 1997 Seagate was sued for $20 million in federal court by another shark cartilage manufacturer -Lane Labs- because we published and circulated independent lab reports in our now famous 50-page “Red Booklet” that revealed that some brands of shark cartilage were using adulterated, sterilized and in some cases even contaminated product that are being excessively cut with fillers including sugars and bone meal. No wonder the public was getting poor results from many brands. Seagate won this federal lawsuit when the plaintiff quit their case. Most of these shark cartilage suppliers from 1997 no longer exist as distributors of this product. Thank goodness.
This has been a very popular promotion so far this month. It is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers for providing their support throughout the year.
