Around this time of year, many people are starting to take sick days off work and school because of contagious cases of the flu and colds. Doctors’ offices are packed with people waiting to be seen and prescribed antibiotics, which often do just as much harm as good. But a secret ingredient to staying healthy that many people aren’t aware of yet is olive leaf extract.
Here’s why olive leaf extract is so beneficial and how to incorporate it into your wellness routine.

Benefits of Olive Leaf Extract
Medical researchers have studied olive leaf extract for its potential to control blood pressure and various effects on human health because of its antioxidant, and numerous health properties. This extract has been used as a natural remedy for wounds, burns, stomach upset, infections, joint health, and much more. It is a leading natural antimicrobial therapy that Seagate customers have relied upon for many years. It’s also a great way to stay healthy during cold and flu season.
Choosing an Olive Leaf Extract Product
Although there are many olive leaf extracts for sale today, Seagate’s product is unique because our employees hand-select our olive leaves from local trees right after we harvest olives each winter to ensure they have the highest possible antioxidant content. To create our Olive Leaf Extract capsules, we use a cold-press freshwater extraction process that involves no toxic chemicals whatsoever. Derived from nothing but natural olive leaves, the convenient capsules are 100 percent pure with no fillers or excipients so you know exactly what you’re getting with every dose.
Rather than worrying about the controversy about the standardized content of oleuropein, when choosing an Olive Leaf Extract, ask the manufacturer whether they grew their own trees and processed their own extract themselves. Most brands source out their raw material from the cheapest suppliers. Seagate does the opposite — we have complete control over the trees, the extract production and quality control.

How to Take Olive Leaf Extract
For daily maintenance during cold and flu season, we recommend taking two to four olive leaf extract capsules each day to stay healthy. For the best results, try to take the capsules about a half hour before meals. If you start to feel yourself getting sick, increase the dosage to four to nine capsules per day. It’s always a smart idea to discuss supplements with your trusted medical professional before starting something new.
If you start to feel a sore throat coming on this winter, open up one of our olive leaf extract capsules and dissolve the powder into four ounces of warm water. Then gargle and swallow the mixture to soothe your throat. If you notice a skin irritation, remember that olive leaf extract is great for relieving skin issues too. Simply apply the powder from one of our capsules directly to your skin with a drop of water to make a paste that you can rub into the skin thoroughly.
We wish you the best of health this winter and encourage you to try olive leaf extract as your first line of defense against cold and flu season.
My bottles are about five years old…do I need to buy new ones?
Hello – The Olive Leaf Extract product has a 4-year expiration. That is really because of the vegetable capsules having a 4-year shelf life. The olive leaf extract powder can last longer than that.
Soooo .. we cannot tell you as the manufacturer to use expired product. We can only explain to you why and which component is at issue.
Thank you for your question,
Seagate
