Many people have learned about and come to rely upon Seagate’s various homeopathic olive leaf extracts for keeping their families healthy. Olive leaf extract is one of our most popular products here at Seagate. This is why some customers have wondered whether they can also give this extract to their kids.
Here is an overview of our Liquid Olive Leaf Extract for Kids product to help you make an informed decision for your family.

Product Ingredients
This is a product you can trust because the olive leaves it contains are harvested and processed by us right here at Seagate. Olive leaf extract is the main ingredient, but this herbal supplement also contains vegetable glycerin as a stabilizer and for flavor. Something else important to know for use in children is that this product contains no alcohol and is a water-based extract.
Directions for Use
What’s great about Seagate’s olive leaf extract for kids is that it comes in a liquid form with a dropper so kids don’t have to worry about swallowing pills or chewing tablets. Shake the bottle before use and then provide one dropper for the equivalent of a 250mg dose of olive leaf extract powder.
Try using about 15 drops, which is half a dropper, up to 30 drops, which is a full dropper, two or three times per day for children.
It has a pleasant taste. There’s no need to dilute the product with water or add it into another beverage or food before giving it to a child. This product is generally safe to administer to a child two to three times per day or as recommended by your pediatrician. Just make sure not to share the bottle with other children in the house to prevent the spread of germs.
Side Effects of Olive Leaf Extract
It is understandable for parents to be weary about giving a new remedy to their children or wondering about potential side effects. However, olives and olive products are some of the safest foods and medicines on the planet, and they’ve been part of the human diet for thousands of years. Therefore, olive leaf extract will not destroy the beneficial bacteria lining the stomach and intestines.
Since we first started producing olive leaf extract in 1997, we have only learned of two potential side effects. These are a minor reaction in people who have an olive allergy and a rare allergy-like response caused by the rapid die-off of fungi that could release mycotoxins into the body, called the Herxheimer reaction. However, side effects are very rare.
