We try and keep this blog unbiased and apolitical. After all, this is a blog about helping you to stay healthy with diet, nutrition, with some news. However, there are times that things in the world are so annoying that they can affect our health. This is one of those times when things are so very disturbing that I would like to share some complaints, without endorsing any candidate. Perhaps you may not agree. If I seem to attack one politician more than another, forgive me because I don’t like any of them.
Wouldn’t it be useful to have a box on the voting form that allows you to check – “None of the Above”?
Aren’t you tired of the news media not doing their job in investigating and reporting on the issues honestly, without putting their own personal editorial spin on things?
What happened to people like Walter Cronkite?
Do you want to see a lifelong politician with 47 years in office and 8 years in the White House claim that he is the choice for change?
Do you want to have the current political parties that are more concerned with winning power to control you, rather than acting in the best interests of this country?
What’s with these senile, angry old men continuing to run this country?
Do you want to see big-tech be so powerful that they can censor candidates and possibly affect the outcome of an election?
Aren’t you tired of seeing career politicians selling their access to outside special interests, both foreign and domestic, and leave office as very wealthy people, many having never worked an honest day in their lives?
Are you tired of seeing “talking heads” in front of the camera that claim to be experts, but change their opinion based frequently upon their own personal agenda rather than what is good for the nation?
Are you tired of seeing people who have received the benefits of living in the greatest country in the world knock down this country and its statues, history, and great historical leaders and believe it is their right to riot in the streets and do violence against others who do not happen to believe in their point of view.
How about Hollywood and those overpaid elitist actors, They were trained to read scripts written by others. Most could not compose an honest thought on their own. They now believe they can ostracize others and even threaten to blacklist fellow actors because they have differing viewpoints. Remember the McCarthy era?
Should career politicians that have taken advantage of their position be able to grope women, solicit funds from foreign entities, and have the media ignore their horrendous behavior because “reporters” agree with their political agenda?
What happened to those 30,000 deleted emails, Benghazi, the Russian disinformation of 2016? Or the Chinese and the Ukraine oil company paying someone’s son $4.2 million to purchase daddy’s political influence?
Should a politician who cannot read a teleprompter, does not remember what State he is in while campaigning, and allows his son to profit from his access to power, not be labeled a crook?
Should a politician that plagiarized his way through law school, graduated at the bottom of his class (lied about it), and continued to plagiarize other people’s speeches while in office be allowed to continue in office?
Does a politician with little self-control, cannot control his tweeting, behaves like an angry little Chuckie, and also has issues assaulting women be able to run for President of the U.S. ? Most of this would apply to either candidate.
Are we now living in a country that is similar to the censorship, lies, corruption and media control as Venezuela, China, Russia, or Cuba?
Or have we become Greece, where power during elections is gained by pandering to people through more and more entitlements and making them dependent upon the government in return for their votes or a Green Card?
Does Fauci have a clue about this pandemic? Or is he more concerned with time in front of the microphone?
Do you trust these elderly politicians who have obvious anger and personality issues to lead this great country or should they be living out their days sedated in nursing homes?
Don’t you think that the House and Senate could be greatly improved with term-limits?
What about that House rep that tears up the State of the Union address on camera to win points with her radical following?
Is it a coincidence that the States and cities suffering from increased crime, homelessness, lawlessness, and massive exoduses of their populations, happen to be controlled by same political party?
What about that governor and mayor who placed Covid-infected people into nursing homes resulting in >11,000 deaths to the elderly patients and now try and blame others who were trying to help their States with relief?
Anyway, I can go on and on. But most likely this is a good place to end this before losing your focus and my mental health.
